Anyone can upload a photo of a cat or dog for free and Petco Love Lost’s patented pet photo-matching technology will immediately search our national database of lost and found pet listings. The technology looks at size, color, facial features and coat attributes to make a match. Users can simply upload a photo and begin searching thousands of pet listings, create easily sharable pet alerts, and download printable posters. When a match is found between users, they can connect directly via our messaging platform. If a user sees a pet in shelter care, they will be provided with the contact information of the organization. 

As a shelter, all incoming animals will be added to the national database of lost and found pet listings. With both shelters and pet parents using Petco Love Lost, more animals will be reunited with their families.
